INTRODUCTION
The
aim of this workshop is to bring together. The synthesis and preparation
of novel nanostructures are one of the important goals in nanotechnology
to extend the portfolio of novel engineered nanomaterials for their
applications in variety of fields. The characterization is the first
step to explore the novel properties of these structures. The vibrational
spectroscopies such as Sum-Frequency Generation spectroscopy (SFG),
Reflection-Absorption Infrared Spectroscopy (RAIRS), Raman Spectroscopy,
Surface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) are powerful characterization
techniques for the goal. This workshop will bring the scientist working
on the preparation of several different nanomaterials and realizing
the vibrational spectroscopy as characterization tool. This will not
only serve to recognize the importance of these techniques for nanomaterial
characterization but also give an opportunity to the scientists working
on related fields to discuss the recent advances vibrational spectroscopic
techniques.
This
workshop is organized as a satellite meeting to NanoTR (http://nanotr7.sabanciuniv.edu/en),
which is the largest nanoscience and nanotechnology meeting of Turkey.
This conference will be held during June 27-July 1 at Sabanci University
(www.sabanciuniv.edu). The
fist meeting of the workshop will take place on
July 27, Sunday
at Yeditepe University campus (www.yeditepe.edu.tr)
and the second meeting on June 29 as embedded into NanoTR conference.
If you wish to attend and persent at NanoTR, you need to submit an
abstract separately. The abstract submission and deadline are provided
at its website.
ACCOMMODATION
Please contact the organizer for accommodation. There will be some
free rooms available from Yeditepe University upon guest. However,
there will be a priority list due to limited space. Please contact
the secreteriat for more information. If you like to stay in a hotel
close to the city you may reserve a room with special rates valid
for NanoTR attendees. (http://nanotr7.sabanciuniv.edu/en/accommodation)
